Young Africans S.C.
Young Africans Sports Club is a Tanzanian football club based in Dar Es Salaam. Their home games are played at National Stadium. Young Africans (or Yanga as it is locally known) is one of the two biggest teams in Tanzanian football, their archrivals being Simba SC. Both teams are based in Dar Es Salaam. The team's colors are yellow and green. Yanga has won slightly more Tanzanian Premier League titles than Simba SC. However, Simba has fared much better on the continental stage than their archrivals. Yanga played their first game of the 2011 Kagame Castle Cup on 26th June 2011. Yanga managed to draw 2-2 against Al-Merreikh and the sudanese team made a record by scoring all four goals (Yanga's goals were own goals)
Shabani Nonda Papii is the most notable player who ever played for this club. Papii had a stint with Yanga in the middle of the 1990s before heading to Vaal Professionals based in South Africa.)
